Let’s get Quantum-Connected!
We invite you to Quantum Korea 2024, where we will get quantum-connected: feel, think, and talk in quantum
At Quantum Korea 2023, the Korean government declared 2023 as “The Year of Quantum Leap in Korea,” marking the beginning of a quantum leap for Korea beyond nano and digital to the quantum world. In October 2023, the National Assembly passed the “Act on the Promotion of Quantum Science and Technology and Quantum Industry” to support the government’s quantum policy.
Korea has begun to lead the commercialization and standardization of quantum cryptography on the foundation of its ICT powerhouse. In January the Korea Research Institute of Standards and Science and Sungkyunkwan University unveiled a superconducting 20-qubit quantum computer. Various qubit research is underway, including neutral atoms, ions, light, and diamonds. In the field of quantum sensing, we are also boasting the world’s highest level in gravity measurement. The number of young people participating in the quantum computer hackathon is already exceeding hundreds, so it is exciting to see the growth of the future leaders of the quantum world. On the 100th anniversary of modern quantum mechanics, the 90th anniversary of the quantum entanglement proposal, and the 60th anniversary of Bell’s inequality, let’s get quantum-connected together at Quantum Korea 2024, where the world’s leading quantum experts and companies will come to Korea.
Quantum Korea 2024 is hosted by the Ministry of Science and ICT and the Quantum Korea 2024 Organizing Committee and will be held from June 25 to June 27, 2024 at KINTEX, Goyang.
Thierry Botter, QuIC Executive Director, will represent QuIC at Quantum Korea.
