QBC Activities

QBC Activities bring the QuIC Business Community together through initiatives that encourage collaboration, knowledge sharing, and networking. These include info sessions, matchmaking events, and the Q-Wave webinar series, all designed to strengthen connections across Europe’s quantum industry.

QBC

Global Standards: Link to JTC-3

  • JTC-3: host awareness sessions on activities of JTC-3 (ISO / IEC). Foster alignment across Europe-based companies on standardisation to influence national mirror companies across the world.

Network: Matchmaking & Networking

QBC

Network: Matchmaking & Networking

  • Organise networking sessions: help QuIC Members and QBC Affiliates develop business ties.

  • QBC to host matchmaking sessions in the frame of national & international (e.g. Eureka Network) funding programmes.

Global Quantum Monitor: Info Series from guest international speakers

QBC

Global Quantum Monitor: Info Series from guest international speakers

  • External guest speakers (info sessions): guest presentations to QuIC Members + QBC Affiliates on a variety of relevant subjects. Examples:

  • International quantum initiatives (e.g. Quantum Internet Alliance, KIRQ: QKD testbed in Sherbrooke, Canada)

  • Market studies (e.g. McKinsey reports, Hyperion Research – Global QC Market)

  • International organisations (e.g. OECD, World Economic Forum)

Quantum Business Exchange: Webinars: Outreach, evangelizing, career fairs

Global Standards (GS)

QBC

Global Standards (GS)

The Global Standards group coordinates and articulates common standardization needs across all domains of quantum technologies, with a global outlook.

Its objectives include:

  • Serving as a forum within QuIC to identify standardization requirements across quantum computing, communication, sensing, and enabling technologies.

  • Establishing liaisons and communication channels with standardization bodies at European and international levels.

  • Promoting best practices, exchanging information, and producing industry positions to strengthen Europe’s influence in global quantum standardization.

Through this work, the group contributes to building a coherent and interoperable standards landscape,
enabling certification, market scalability, and a stronger industrial position for European quantum technologies worldwide.
