Germany–Netherlands Joint R&D Projects: Innovating Aerospace Business with Quantum Technology (TechBridge Germany Call 2026)

 

Objective and purpose: This call encourages Dutch companies, knowledge institutions and research organisations to collaborate with innovative partners in Germany on R&D that develops quantum technology for aerospace applications relevant in the short, medium and long term. French partners may participate provided they can secure their own funding in time.

 

Scope and expected results: The collaborative project must research or develop an innovative product, process or service with the aim of commercialising the results. The outcome must be innovative and the project must entail technological risk for all partners. Projects must be within the scope of the call and should generate clear benefits and added value through technological cooperation.

 

Consortium conditions: The international consortium must include at least two independent companies: one from Germany and one from the Netherlands. Once that requirement is met, other organisations, such as knowledge institutions, may join as project partners. No single organisation or participating country may cover more than 70% of total eligible project costs, and the maximum project duration is 36 months.

 

National conditions (Netherlands): RVO is the Dutch funding organisation. For Dutch national support, at least one Dutch company must participate and the lead partner of the national consortium must be a Dutch company. Only R&D activities are funded, and participating parties must cover remaining costs with their own contributions. German partners may receive funding if they comply with the rules of the German funding organisations VDI Technologiezentrum or DLR.

 

Budget and timing: Total budget is €2,000,000. Each Dutch consortium can receive up to €1,000,000 per project. The call lists different funding rates for research versus development activities and by participant type. Applications in the Netherlands are accepted from 02 March 2026 until 23 June 2026 (17:00 CEST).
